Critical testing features for initial and periodic inspection of PV systems
- Full sequence safety testing – IEC/EN 62446-1 Category 1: o Protective conductor resistance (RLO)
- Voltage on open circuit, including polarity (VOC)
- Short circuit current (ISC) or operational current with a clamp adapter
- Insulation resistance (RINS)
ROI and system performance testing (solar module string I-V curve test) – IEC 62446-1 Category 2:
- Solar PV I-V curve tracing and associated software for analysis, reporting, and certification and includes I-V curve analysis and reporting features
- Computer software – download, upload, review, analyze, and print test results
- Communication with IRR2-BT (solar irradiation, inclination, temperature)

- Protective conductor resistance (RLO) measurement with a testing current ≥200 mA

- AC/DC voltage measurement with 4 mm test sockets – Functional test by means of voltage measurement up to 700 V TRMS (for sinusoidal voltage up to 60 Hz) and 1000 V DC. The AC voltage and AC current measurement refer to frequency 50 Hz or 60 Hz, sinusoidal voltage.
