Description
1. Sonel PVM-1020 Photovoltaic Meter
– The Sonel PVM-1020 meter is likely the smallest photovoltaic system meter worldwide, but it offers a remarkable range of measurement functions. You can choose functions using a simple rotary switch and adjust settings with buttons on the unit. Its backlit buttons and graphic display make it easy to use even in shaded areas, such as beneath ground-mounted PV systems. Plus, its ample memory greatly reduces the time needed to prepare documents after measurements.
2. IRM-1 Solar Radiation and Temperature Meter
– The IRM-1 may be small, but it’s essential for testing PV systems. By measuring solar radiation levels, panel temperatures, and ambient temperatures, it provides crucial data for converting results into standard test conditions (STC). Its built-in recorder can store up to 5000 records, making it valuable for both designing PV plants and identifying shading issues in panels.
PVM-1020 | Features
– Suitable for category 1 measurements as per IEC 62446-1 standards.
– AUTO mode enables a sequence of measurements with a single press of the START button.
– Collaborates with the IRM-1 solar radiation and temperature meter to convert measured parameters into standard test conditions (STC) per IEC 60891.
– reSYNC function automatically completes results with environmental parameters and converts them to STC conditions upon reconnecting with the IRM-1.
– Equipped with a built-in LoRa radio interface for seamless collaboration with the IRM-1 meter across long distances.
– Includes a built-in Bluetooth module for communication with a computer.
– Large measurement memory: accommodates 100 objects with 40 cells each.
– Features a backlit display and buttons for enhanced visibility.
PVM-1020 | Measured parameters
– Open circuit voltage of a PV panel or panel chain, up to 1000V DC.
– RMS voltage of the AC network, measuring up to 600V with frequency detection.
– Short circuit current of a PV panel or panel chain, up to 20A DC.
– Insulation resistance of PV panels, measured at voltages of 250V, 500V, or 1000V, with simultaneous measurement of two values: RISO+ and RISO-.
– Insulation resistance of AC circuits, measured at voltages of 250V, 500V, or 1000V.
– Resistance of protective conductors and equipotential bonding, with ± 200 mA current, featuring low-current resistance measurement and audible and visual signaling.
– Measurement of operating current for PV panels and AC current, all facilitated with an external clamp.
– AC/DC power measurement.
– Diode test using 200 mA current, with automatic polarity detection, and testing of blocking diodes with 1000V DC voltage.
PVM-1020 | Tightness and Durability:
-The meter demonstrates harsh performance in challenging environmental conditions. Its housing is rated IP65, providing protection against dust and water ingress. This feature is particularly critical for conducting measurements on outdoor photovoltaic systems.
PVM-1020 | Communication and Software:
Measurement data captured by the PVM-1020 can be seamlessly transferred to a computer via Bluetooth wireless communication. The ability to save downloaded data in popular formats and facilitate printing is ensured by the Sonel Reader. For generating reports on electric shock protection, users can utilize optional software called Sonel Reports PLUS.
PVM-1020 | Trouble? reSYNC!
In instances where the master meter drifts too far from the IRM-1 during measurements, leading to a loss of communication between the two devices, the reSYNC function comes to the rescue. Upon reestablishing the connection, the meter automatically supplements results with environmental parameters previously recorded by the IRM-1 in its temporary memory. Subsequently, these results are converted into standard test conditions (STC).
